The Door in the Pyramid, what the clairvoyant saw

In August 1994, after The Orion Mystery had become a phenomenal bestseller, I was contacted by a publisher who wanted me to meet one of their authors, a lady named Ann Walker. She is one of London's leading clairvoyants with many rich and famous clients. Their reason for contacting me was not to have my fortune told, however appealing this may have been, but rather to look at some pictures she had drawn. Apparently, in addition to her work as a guide to the future she was also deeply involved in a quest for the lost records of Egypt. Like Edgar Cayce, the famous American clairvoyant whose "readings" concerning the pyramids and Sphinx given in the thirties and forties continue to be controversial, she was, I was told, able to see and converse with disembodied spirits. Some of these, it seemed, were entities who had been involved in the building of the pyramids and they were now, through her, releasing information concerning secret chambers and their contents, both near the Sphinx and inside the Great Pyramid. However, this was not being done in any straight-forward way. Instead of giving her verbal instructions in modern English of where to look and what she would find, they had given her material in a multitude of languages, including various languages of Egypt such as the Hieroglyphs, Hieratic, Coptic and Greek. As she herself had absolutely no knowledge of any of these languages, all she could do was to copy down what she had received and to seek out experts who could translate these messages into English.

As well as these texts, some of which I was shown and which made absolutely no sense to me, she had also been "given" a number of diagrams. The bulk of these were dated to 8 January 1993, over a year before The Orion Mystery was published and over ten weeks before Gantenbrink made his discovery of the door. The reason I was being shown these was that they featured rough pictures of pyramids and stars. Evidently the positions of the stars, which were either labelled with letters or joined together in constellations, were important. Both she and her publishers wanted to know if I could make anything of these in the light of the discoveries contained in The Orion Mystery. Unfortunately, I had to admit that on first sight they meant no more to me than the other pictures of hieroglyphs but I promised I would give them some thought if she would send me copies.

In due course a package arrived containing the five or six drawings dating from 8 January. As I looked though them I almost fell off my chair as I saw one that I suddenly recognised. Turned on its side it was an almost exact representation of a picture I was all too familiar with: Gantenbrink's "door" at the end of the Southern Shaft of the Queen's Chamber. As she had not seen our TV program called The Great Pyramid: gateway to the stars, put out by the BBC in association with the American A & E network and featuring the discovery of the "door", she hadn't a clue what this picture was meant to represent and was most surprised when I told her. Unfortunately for copyright reasons I am not able to put up a photograph of the actual door but below is her drawing. It is almost exactly the same except that it only shows the intact copper handle and not the stump of the broken one to its left.

[Clairvoyant picture of door] Assuming that she was not lying about the date she had received these pictures (and there were witnesses who backed up her story) this was an astounding piece of clairvoyant prediction. She had drawn a picture of something that had not been seen for four and a half thousand years and would not be discovered till ten weeks later. There was, however, further corroborative evidence in the form of one of the other pictures. This showed a pyramid with the sun behind it and snakes going down its side. Next to the pyramid were pictures of stars or planets, labelled with their initial letters.

[First star diagram] At the time I was deeply involved in writing The Mayan Prophecies, so it struck me that this probably wasn't intended to represent an Egyptian pyramid but rather the famous Castillo of Chichen Itza in Mexico. This remarkable building, also known as the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl, is famous for a phenomenon that occurs only twice a year, at the equinoxes. On those days, as the sun sets, so it casts a shadow that looks like a serpent sliding down the balustrade of one of the staircases. As this pyramid also has large snake heads at the foot of the staircase, I wondered could this be what was represented by Ann's diagram? There was only one way to check this and that was to see if the star patterns also had a meaningful explanation. The labels given to the stars (or planets) were M, R, S and P. I suspected that these were probably Mars, Rigel, Sirius and Procyon. Below these there was another group of stars with three above a line and one below. I reasoned that this was meant to show that three were above the horizon and one below. Could this be saying that the day in question was an equinox and that on that a year and time was being given such that three of the labelled stars were above the horizon and one below. There was only one thing to do and that was to check this arrangement using the computer. Accordingly I used the SKYGLOBE program to see on which equinox, if any, such an arrangement of stars would occur.

Now whilst the fixed stars, Procyon, Rigel and Sirius are always in the same positions, the planet Mars is not often in their vicinity at either equinox. To my amazement the best ‘fit’ I could find was for the spring equinox of 1993, i.e. 22 March and the very day when Gantenbrink discovered the "door".

[SKYGLOBE print] On this day, at Chichen Itza, Mars Rigel and Sirius would be above the horizon whilst Procyon was still below. This seems to fit the pattern of the diagram. Significantly, at Giza Sirius and Procyon rise almost exactly together. This adds strength to the interpretation that it is the Castillo of Chichen Itza that was represented in Ann's diagram with the snakes coming down the sides. Whilst none of this can be called rigorous proof, it does seem to be more than coincidental and is enough to excite interest. However, there is more to come. Ann Walker has since received pictures of what she claims lies behind the "door". These are startling in the extreme and if what she says is true, then we are in for a discovery of Tutankhamen proportions. She has now had her rough sketches turned into colour paintings, which are being published here for the first time. If you would like to see what the clairvoyant "saw" then
